Itinerary:
DAY1 : Airport Casablanca _ chefchauen
Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be picked up from the airport and welcomed there by your guide. After this, you will drive directly to Chefchauen. There, depending on the time of your arrival, you can have a sightseeing tour in the blue city overnight in riad dar echchauen or similar
DAY2 (Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes)
After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Fes via Meknes and Volubilis. In Meknes , another significant imperial city in Morocco, known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco, you will see the famous gate Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, your journey continues to the Roman city of Volubilis, where you will get a chance to see the wonderfully preserved original mosaics, Roman road, and city layout. As you travel through the Moroccan countryside we will pass by the Holy City of Moulay Idriss for a photo opportunity. DAY3 : Full day exploring Fes.
after Breakfast in your riad, then start exploring the old medina of Fes where you will visit the
hidden treasures that only the inhabitants of the place know about. You will have a chance to
visit Alquaraouiene univercity, which is the oldest spiritual university in the world, Molay Idriss
mausoleum, the Nejjarine Fountains and the Tanneries. After lunch you will view the exterior of
the Royal Palace Gate and walk through the famous Jewish quarter “the Mellah”. Your tour of Fes
also includes a short visit to the famous ceramic factory, then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view

DAY4 Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert)
After breakfast in your riad, you will leave towards the southeast following the Caravan roads to Merzouga. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at the Cedar forest, the largest one in Morocco, over the Middle Atlas Mountains– where you may well sight Barbarian apes. After lunch in Midelt, you will continue through the large open high desert, and notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Er Rachidia. Your journey continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet date palm grove, famous for date cultivation. This area is the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. You’ll arrive at Merzouga at the end of the afternoon – to be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad. https://darhassan.com/
DAY5 Merzouga area – Camel trek and overnight in berber tent)
After breakfast in the riad you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people – originally slaves brought from Sudan -to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations. You may also visit the souk in Rissani , a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Tombuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled. Back to the village of Merzouga for some rest, in the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand-sea of Merzouga. DAY6 : Merzouga Desert- Erfoud- Todra valley and gorge- Dades valley.
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch the best sunrise in your life then ride back the camels to the village of erzouga where you will have shower and breakfast. Afterwards, we’ll leave to Erfoud (which is the capital of fossils) then to Tinghir where we’ll enjoy one of the magnificent valleys in the south-east of Morocco which is Todra valley and drive alongside it till we get to Todra gorge where you will walk inside cliffs of 300 m. Finally, we will drive to Dades valley where our hotel is located

DAY7 : – Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbahs- High Atlas Mountains- Marrakech
After breakfast we can enjoy one of the best views of the Dades valley from a strategic lookout in the mountains, from there we can appreciate the great number of kasbahs and the scenic characteristics of each one. Then, stops to enjoy the “One thousand kasbahs road”. the Roses Valley and the big Skoura palm grove. Later on, we`ll get to Ouarzazate which is the Hollywood of Morocco with a stop in the center to enjoy Taourirt Kasbah from outside. Half an hour from Ouarzazate, we will be at ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbahs (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular stage, including Gladiator , Obelix, The Mummy The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Free time for lunch in town. Afterwards we will cross High Atlas mountains with stops to see Berber villages and different landscapes till we arrive Marrakech and over night in Medina http://www.riadbahiasalam.com/ or similar
DAY8 (full free day in Marrakech)
Free day in Marrakech to see all places not seen before: After breakfast in the riad, you will enjoy a the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia Menaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally end the morning by walking through the medina alleys -getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, and then in the afternoon visit the gardens at Majorelle, and have a short tour at Gueliz -the new city of Marrakech. After dinner you will have the option to walk through the square entertained by magicians, story-tellers, tooth-pullers and food sellers. DAY 9: Marrakech _ Airport Casablanca
