Day trip to Essaouira, Pick up from your accommodation at 8 o´clock in the morning, and we ll start our Excursion to Essaouira from Marrakech , After 3 hours driving we´ll get to Mogador harbour, built by the portuguese in a narrow peninsula, just by a broad sandy beach. Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage listed city as an example of a late 18th-century fortified town, its greatest charm lies in the fact that it has known to keep the authenticity of a land lost in time. Essaouira became an essential stage in any trip to Morocco. The adventurous explorer will be delighted by the friendly hospitality of their people that has lived for centuries in a crossroads of religions, civilizations and cultures.
In town you have free time to have a walk in Medina, And walk to the fishing port of Essaouira and watch the blue boats, Then visit Skala Kasbah, which was a citadel in the times of war , Then Explore some of the beautiful Essaouira art galleries scattered in the Medina of Essaouira, which can be explored at ease. On the way back to Marrakech we can make a stop at the women cooperative to see a demonstration of the production of the argan oils . then return to Marrakech, transfer to the hotel and end our day trip to Essaouira.
